Best ways to display WSP on resume?

Hey all,

I was curious if I could hear any / all input regarding how to display WSP on your resume, or if you should at all? I'll preface this by mentioning that I suppose one of the **cons** could that it be you are subjected to much more nitty gritty technicals, and all in all you would be setting yourself up. On the other hand, I theorized that completing WSP (especially as someone, as my user shows, who is looking to transition into finance) could demonstrate interest and highlights some functional skills that are more specific to IB.

Secondly, if you do believe that it is beneficial to include WSP, how/ where on your resume would this be shown? Would bullet points just describe the types of models you completed/ any specific case studies that you did?

Looking forward to hear all insights!

Really depends on how confident you are in your technicals. If you're unsure or iffy then I'd say keep it off. Otherwise put it on your resume under your skills/achievements sections. Definetly don't make it a section on your resume.

That makes sense. I guess I thought it could potentially be noted somewhere as a "self studied course" or something of the sorts. Also, could you clarify what you mean by how confident you are in your technicals. I guess I'm curious if you mean that having WSP --> way more intense technicals than you would have gotten otherwise? Nonetheless, truly appreciate the response!

I mean if you're gonna put it on your resume but then fuck up an easy/mid-level technical it's gonna look extra bad. If you don't put wsp on your resume you have more of an out, kind of, with your premed background. But it does help show your commitment to transitioning to finance so weigh the costs and benefits

Looks like I'm going against the grain here, but I'd definitely include it in the additional info section of your resume. Specify which courses you did (e.g., LBO, DCF, accounting). I think it shows initiative as someone who isn't currently in finance. I included modeling courses on my resume and wasn't asked any super advanced or detailed technicals because of it, but YMMV.
