Credit Risk at strategic office at top BB ----> Debt Advisory/Lev Fin (should I include the strategic location on my resume?)

Hello Monkeys,

In need of some inspiration.

I graduated with a top grade from a semi-target in the UK and took my graduate job to work in credit risk for a top BB at a strategic office as I wanted to experience working abroad whilst I'm young. The work we do is essentially fundamental credit research and analysis, like a credit rating agency.

I'm now looking to move back home to the UK; I find debt fascinating and would like to join a DA or Lev Fin team as a junior banker.

The hiring landscape is not great right now and I've built a small network within the firm, my concern is that as I've gone to a strategic location, there is an air of prejudice about it internally, less so externally and with limited hiring, I'm not the top choice.

I'm cold emailing people when I see a job post but I'm concerned that as soon as they see the office location, they're just not interested despite having highly translatable technical knowledge and I'm applying for an entry-level role.

What advice do you have? Should I not state the location on my CV so that I at least get a 1st round interview? Or should I be transparet from the start?

Should I apply for a master's and re-enter the industry?

Would love to hear some thoughts.

it’s late and I’m probably misreading. But what’s the issue with your current office?
