Degree switch: from biomedical sciences to economics

At the start of my university, I changed track from biomedical sciences to economics after 1,5 years. Today I have a BSC, MSC in Econs and an MSC in Finance (it's a Belgian thing to get several masters before applying to BB or MBB).

The question I want to ask is, how do I start my introduction during an interview?

I usually start off by stating that I started studying biomedical sciences because I wanted to join my dad's firm. Then I say, while I was interested in the subject, I was more interested in strategy and financial condition of the firm. Therefore I switched to econs etc.... Then I go on to my exchange in Singapore where I discovered corp fin... and then I move to all my internships

I use this intro to explain my spark, what go me interested into finance...

I'm however rethinking my approach, as this first minute of my intro is about everything except IBD... Maybe they think I'm bragging that my father has a biomedical firm? (it's just a very small company actually, 4 FTEs)

How do you guys feel about this?

You're over thinking it. Firms aren't all that interested at least in North America about the "spark" because you obviously find it interesting because you have economics qualifications. The technicals are WAY more important. If they feel the need to ask about the switch from bio to econ they'll ask. Other than that I wouldn't get caught up on it, unless you're applying to health sector IB.

Edit: After some thought, if you're worried about the interviewer thinking your cocky, why even mention it's your dads firm?

Because I want to give a reason why I went into biomedics and why I changed my mind... My dad's firm is the connections between healthcare and my interest in economics.

Do you think I should not bring it up at all? And just start my intro from my bachelor degree in econs?
