Destroy my resume...

Hello WSO community,

I'm currently an Analyst working for one of the worlds most prestigious financial institutions, particularly in their Asset Management department. Throughout the past 2 year, i've been seeking opportunities to move into I-Banking. However, after thousands of cold calling/emailing attempts, I have yet to establish any solid leads. I've tried to network within my current firm, however, I'm in a non I-Banking intensive city so it's hard to mix and mingle and figure out who runs the show. Additionally, all the VPs i've spoken to, have all said that they don't hire Analyst without prior I-Banking experience. I wanted to reach out and ask for advice. I'm sure many of you have managed to transition from a Middle Office Asset Management Role (located in a non IB intensive city) into Investment Banking. What exactly did you do? who did you reach out to? how did you establish your networks? are headhunters the best way to break into the industry after 1 year of AM experience? Am I lacking anything on my resume? What advice could you possible provide me?

I apologize for the horrendous writing, its been a 16 hour work day...

Thank you.

I was going to criticize your grammar but I get the 16 hour day feels. The bullets all need to be in the same tense, you switch from present to past. I understand why (since it's present), but it stands out as odd to me. Also you only have an accomplishments section for one of your work exp. Again it seems odd and it disrupts the flow. And under computer skills, it's VBA not VBA's. Pretty sure other people will have their own comments but thats my 2 cents. Good luck!
