Do you write: first year or second year analyst on your resume?

I am trying to update my resume for analyst experience. I am not leaving my current position but I know I will not have this kind of time again once we are back to the office.

  1. Which things would you want to highlight if you are a second-year analyst? How to craft that into a resume?
  2. Do you put second year or first year on the job title on your resume?
  3. For LinkedIn profile, do you add anything in regards to your experience as an analyst too? or would that spook anyone that you are trying to leave?

1) first year/second year doesnt matter whatever most relevant deal experience/live transaction experience you have you should put. With that said would prioritize m&a -> financing -> ecm/dcm activity if coverage group

2) The start date should suffice to show if you’re a second year/first year analyst

3) sure if you want to, no-one really does it though (weird flex?) all respected HHs contact you through your personal email/work email and will then review your resume

if I am in coverage, what kind of deal experience do I include? Is it M&A or DCM and ECM deals I was part of? What if I haven't been on many deals? Is it better to include a small value or # or just omit the whole thing?

First or second year doesn't matter. If your bank doesn't offer 2-year Analyst to Associate, I have seen people in their third year of being an Analyst that intend to go on to Associate put "Senior Analyst".

People will know you are a "Second Year Analyst" by doing the math on your start date...
