GPA on CV – major GPA vs overall GPA?
I’m a BSc student studying economics, with required courses in political science (around 30% of the program). My performance has been noticeably stronger in economics and other quantitatively relevant courses.
Would it be acceptable to list “Economics GPA” (or “Major GPA”) on my CV rather than my overall GPA? My overall GPA is ~3.3, while my economics GPA is ~3.7. I would of course label this clearly and not present it as my cumulative GPA.
Is this common practice, or generally frowned upon in recruiting?
Thank you for advice
