Help on an updated resume
Any help would be appreciated, I feel like the bottom activities area looks really bad...

From 10 rejections to 1 dream investment banking internship

i'm not sure if putting your political party preference on your resume is good (college democrats). that could hurt.
What jobs are you applying for? Nothing on your resume indicates an interest or desire to work in finance.
I was considering taking the college Dems off, but my political preferences are already pretty well spelled out on the work experience (or do you think I should leave off their parties in the hopes that they don't know who's from what party?).
I'm hoping to get into consulting or finance, I realize my preferences aren't spelled out, but since I'm already a year out, I figured I should try through networking in which case I can explain my interest directly.
How do you usually sell your interest in finance? I was going to talk about the fact that you're tasked with a problem and you have to go about solving them...
Year out myself with a resume that is similar in lack of experience. Networking will introduce you to some good people. My best recommendation is to find people with a link to you either school or family. You probably already knew that but just wanted to put it out there.
Thanks, yeah, I plan on making a spreadsheet of alums to get in contact with, and I'm also planning to get in contact with some family friends as well.
If you don't mind me asking what are your current experiences/what are you trying to get into? PM me if you don't feel comfortable discussing it here...
First off, stating your political affiliation really is high-risk-low-reward. For example, if you're a Romney supporter, and the guy reading your resume is a Romney fan, you might get a slight advantage, but if the guy likes Obama, you are insta-dinged.
That said:
1) Keep your ACT score in one piece, since they are exactly the same.
2) Remove "Graduate" from "Cum Laude Graduate".
3) (a) In the Japan WE, 2nd bullet point, write "OverCAME cultural... barriers and adapTED".
(b) 3rd bullet, write "DevelopED and EXECUTED".
(c) 4th bullet, write "Instructed English to 600+ students at 5 different schools, while collaborating with 20 other teachers"
4) Third WE, 1st bullet point, after "meetings", replace "and" with a semi-colon. 3rd Bullet point, write "$70 MM"
5) Last WE (although this does seem a tad juvenile, especially for someone a year out of college), 2nd bullet point, write "... 1 semester, significantly faster than the 2-4 semester mean/median"
6) Since you have no "Skill", only one "Languages", and only one decent "Activities" (Varsity Baseball), I would suggest merging all of them under a "Miscellaneous/Others" header.

I really should be brutally honest and say that your lack of Finance internships/activities might be a death-knell to your otherwise fine resume. If I were you, I would be giving Duke MMS serious consideration.

Yes...at the bottom, add: 1) "Certifications and Training" ie: Bloomberg Certification, BIWS financial modeling 2) "Interests" ie: Golf, Personal Stock investing, Currency trading
