IB Ready? Resume Bash (May 2012 Grad)

Hello everyone,

Please review my resume (constructive criticism welcome).

I'm from a top 30 private Uni, with some semi-relevant industry experience,

My only concern is my low GPA (very low) so I'll have to network like crazy or take up a job at McDonalds... eh :/

Thanks for the input. I'll take care of that asap.

My GPA is ~ 2.82. I was lucky to get decent internships/co-op in the past, but I'm afraid that this time around I'll get tossed.

JamesHetfieldWhat if your CGPA is not so great (3.33) and your major GPA is 3.5. Can you put just the major GPA on your Resume.
Write both. Put major GPA first if it's higher, like so: GPA: 3.5 (major), 3.3 (cumulative)

For OP: - I would recommend removing those white bullets next to your job title. It makes things really cluttered. - I thought center-align was considered a big no-no. - MS Office is not a skill worth mentioning. - I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that all those thick gray borders are a result of Razume incorrectly processing your formatting. Otherwise, I would say it's quite a bit of overkill, especially up top.

For everyone: I thought career profiles/objectives went out of style a decade ago. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Currently: future neurologist, current psychotherapist Previously: investor relations (top consulting firm), M&A consulting (Big 4), M&A banking (MM)

Thanks again! I'm on it!

I'll get rid of the career prof section and elaborate more @ hobbies/ linguistic skills

Swap it to the M&I format. Just stick with the format, keep it simple.

Since your overall is sub-3.0, don't mention it. If your major GPA is ok, then add that.

Alright. Sounds like it'll be a long day/night. I sincerely appreciate all your comments. Wish me luck!

What is the reasoning behind your low GPA? Bad freshman year? Anything explainable or is it just what it is?

MM IB -> Corporate Development -> Strategic Finance
