Lack of Direct IB Experience => Need Spinned / Updated Resume

Hi there,

Attached to this post is my current working resume (I'm not allowed to post links yet).

I don't have a lot of direct finance experience, only experience that is at best tangentially related; however, I have spent a considerable amount of time self-studying investment banking and quantitative finance topics since becoming interested in the career field.

The lack of experience is due to the fact that prior to about a year ago I was planning to pursue academia, and so I spent most of my time studying for qualifying exams, taking extra advanced courses, and doing research with professors on topics certainly not related to finance (e.g. fluid dynamics, snow accumulation models, crime modeling with Levy flights, etc.). I have since decided academia is not for me and looked to other career options, and based on my summer 2013 finance internship and subsequent research on statisticalarbitrage techniques in the U.S. equities markets, I have decided investment banking is what I want to do (first, at least...). However, I feel like my current resume needs some help, and would appreciate any constructive feedback.

FYI: I am currently employed at ILFC; I took the job for the sake of having a job and to have access to valuable networking opportunities, but I will be leaving as soon as I obtain an offer at an investment bank.

Thanks again!
