New School, New Resume?
Hey guys so I will most likely be transferring out of my current University to a target school closer to home. I have built my resume up very well at this current University, and it contains things from internships to clubs to seminars that I have done here on it. Now, when I transfer, what do I do with this current resume? Leave all the old stuff on it until it can be replaced? Also, what do I put my GPA as on my resume considering it will be wiped clean when I transfer. Do you think employers will view this negatively if, for example, they see my resume with all USC stuff on it and internships in a different location while everyone from UVA has UVA type information on it as well as internships around that area etc.. Please comment if you have had a similar experience while completing your undergrad degree

How many years were you at your old school? And how many years do you have until you graduate from your new school?
You have to keep your SC stuff on your resume. You won't be looked down on negatively, I got a good internship with the material I had and I know transfers who got BB and elite boutique internships.
Your GPA goes like this:
New University City, State - Transfer Student
Old University City, State - GPA: 3.X/4.0
When you get grades at your new school you can put your new grades in and take out the transfer part. You can't combine GPAs, and you can't take the SC stuff off. I'm not sure why you would want to, you won't have anything to put on your resume if you do.

And to answer your question T-3000, I was a student at my current University for my Freshman and Sophomore years (I am finishing up my Sophomore year now) and will be completing my last two years at the new University. However, there may be a chance due to credit transferring issues that I will have to stay an extra semester, or even another full year
