You need to redo the whole thing. Here are some changes:

1) Change your format over to the one used by M&I.

2) Change your skills section. Do not list high concentration in Excel, because I guarantee you are not.

3) Remove objective. Everyone knows you are there looking for a summer internship.

4) Maybe change your font to make it smaller and add more information regarding each bullet point. EG: flesh out your finance society information more.

5) Lump your leadership and community service together.

6) No need to add your custodian duties. Focus more on your most recent work experience and try to quantify it a bit. Mention how you made some sales and how it works etc.

Hope this is a jumping off point.

In a way I actually have respect for you working as a custodian. Doing what you need to do shows work ethic and that you understand the value of a dollar. Also, it makes it seem like you won't be as much of a b*tch as some people on the street.

That being said, the first poster is correct that the whole thing needs to be reworked.

Working as a custodian is fine. It honestly shows a person is down to earth and is willing to take a job (no matter the station) and definitely understands the value of a dollar.

But unfortunately that doesn't translate on a resume. Especially if you are looking for a job in IBD you have to be able to spin your experience. I feel that with his most recent job he can do that. Actually if he moves working with students with disabilites into the Commnity Service & Leadership section, I may even say leave it on there.

At the very worst, the custodian angle definitely makes for some compelling grad school writing (for a later station in life)

way to much white space on top half. maybe separate out the lines in your education section by semicolons. e.g. GPA 3.3/4.0; Business GPA 3.3/4.0

follow m&I format, as was mentioned.

too many sections. you have education, work experience, leadership, community service, skills... I'd consolidate

follow this format for your bullet points: 'Action Verb' + 'task' + 'how you did it/what skills or tools you utilized' + 'end result'

hope this helps

Any guide to M&I format? I do not want to pay 200 for the WSO service. Thanks again for all the help! Also do you guys think my experience is enough for a decent internship?

For the above guys asking about my custodian experience, it was a valuable one. I had to work hard doing some pretty gross tasks. Has made for a few humorous interview conversations and shows I am hardworking.

Well...just google ibanking resume M&I. (Mergers and Inquisitions)

And you need to change all your wording. It needs to be "bankified", if you will. And keep the custodian thing in, provided you can condense your resume down.

Agreed, change the format - reference M&I. You'll acquire more space this way, and add more bullets to each experience work.

I know you're a junior, but I am sure you can add more the bullets to fill up the white space.

Lastly, make sure your margins are 0.5", as right now it looks more weighted to the bottom and you have a lot of space up top.
