Recent Graduate Resume (Old)

I graduated two months ago and while I've been actively interviewing, would welcome any feedback to make my applications more competitive.

I've been focused on investment roles in the equity space as well as equity research. Thanks for the help, the tough job market continues to keep me on my toes.

I'm a fan of your interests section, especially the bboying part.

Awesome resume.

  • Try spacing out your sections; they look a bit cluttered.
  • There's an extra space in May 2013 on the top right section where you have your college info.
  • Consider separating the GPA section with an "|" or semi-colon.
  • Change all tenses to past tense.

To add to the above:

You don't need the May 2013 after your degree, it's implied by your education dates.

The study abroad section looks a bit weird with the "Coursework included..." in italics.

I'm not a fan of the capitalizing after semi-colons, but to each their own.

I don't think all of your interests need to be capitalized.

"For I am a sinner in the hands of an angry God. Bloody Mary full of vodka, blessed are you among cocktails. Pray for me now and at the hour of my death, which I hope is soon. Amen."

Thanks a lot Gene and Duff. I replaced the some of the activities with an interesting work experience and made the changes you both suggested. It seems to flow better now.

Just thought I'd show a before and after for others who might stumble across the post.
