Resume Critique - Want to get into equity research or financial analysis work

Please critique my resume. I want to get into equity research or some other type of financial analysis work. Razume made my resume into two pages, but it's only supposed to be one.

Thanks.

Way to many interests; keep it to a few you really can articulate and have achieved in. Are any of the software programs big on financial analysis. Certifications, put the CFA in education - that's pretty big for analysts. Good work experience. I'd try an show some figures for the business you started. Try to keep the format a little more consistent - You have a varying number of bullet points and try to align everything to make it look cleaner - The shipping company would be great for S&T, not too much IB. You have a lot of things on there - I used to have the same issue with my resume. Focus on quality and think about what equity researchers look for - You don't need to list every job you've held.

I hope you have a phone number and email address on your resume.

Take out "present to" and replace with "Expected May 2012"

Major: Corp. Finance & Investments

Don't put N/A for GPA, say you're in your first semester

Major: Finance & IB

I'd probably Bold GPA, Honors, and Activities.

I'd use dashes instead of "to" in your dates. August 2008 - December 2008, etc.

If you can specifically list what you took in Hong Kong that'd be awesome. Also, no locations on anything? You need to add those.

take out the overpayment stuff

need to be way more concise with your bullets - take out articles, condense main points. I'm reading your resume for 30 seconds, I don't want to read your diary about your day-to-day life at work. You have a ton of unnecessary stuff that to be honest makes you sound amateurish.

change "over 150 clients" to "more than 150 clients"

Expand more on your company. How much profit did you make, ROI, etc.? Also, you're not a CEO. Take that off.

Be consistent with placement of $ signs, I've noticed sometimes you use them and sometimes you don't.

Your Boutique and Wealth Management stuff are by far the best stuff on your resume, find a way to emphasize them.

change "over 200 transactions" to "more than 200 transactions"

Any reason Engineering Company is capitalized? Do you use the real name in your resume? If not, lowercase this.

change "over 20 interviews" to "more than 20 interviews"

You can probably use HNWIs instead of "high net worth individuals"

"more than 3,000 prospects"

"more than 40 clients"

Consolidate your interests. Probably don't need blogging and website design, choose one. I'd probably take out Volleyball and Ultimate.

You have a good starting point. Get to work and feel free to repost when you're done and I'll give you more feedback.
