Resume Feedback required

I need some honest review of my resume. I am doing my MBA and want to break in as a Financial Analyst or Research Analyst. For context, I'm based in India.
I'm quite new to this, so do bear with me.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some actionable tips for your resume as you aim to break into a Financial Analyst or Research Analyst role:

  1. Highlight Relevant Experience: If you have prior internships or work experience in finance, strategy, or research, ensure these are prominently displayed. Use bullet points to detail your achievements and quantify results wherever possible.

  2. Tailor Your Resume: Customize your resume to align with the Financial Analyst or Research Analyst roles. Focus on skills like financial modeling, data analysis, and market research.

  3. Education Section: As you're pursuing an MBA, list it at the top of your resume. Include your university, expected graduation date, and any relevant coursework or projects.

  4. Technical Skills: Highlight proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, Python, or financial modeling software. These are often critical for analyst roles.

  5. Leadership and Extracurriculars: If you have leadership roles or extracurricular activities, include them to showcase soft skills like teamwork and initiative.

  6. Conciseness: Keep your resume to one page. Recruiters spend limited time reviewing resumes, so make every word count.

  7. Professional Formatting: Use a clean, professional format. Avoid excessive design elements and ensure consistent font and spacing.

  8. Seek Feedback: Consider using a resume review service like the WSO Resume Review Service for professional insights and improvements.

If you'd like more specific feedback, you can share your resume with a trusted reviewer or use professional services to refine it further. Good luck with your career transition!

for your work experience, put in your impact in relative terms or %, but it's a good start on quantifying your impact

at the bottom, you have modelling spelled 2 different ways, and i don't think you need to include that at the bottom if you already included it in your coursework - if it's separate, you should include the name of the course (ie XYZ offered by ABC). if you completed a course, you dont need to say that it's completed, it's should be assumed that if it's on your resume it's completed unless otherwise stated ("in progress").

switch "computer" to "technology" and just list it, remove "proficient in" and then at the end you can put " Python (basic)"

in any case, if you want a research analyst, the most important thing is that your work experience reflects that - in your current role, you should actually say how you created a model to do X (and use the STAR method)
