Are you applying for a position in the US? To be frank it’s going to be very tough with your resume. It’d be very difficult to even get an interview. Here are some “issues I’d like to point out: 1) lack of strong academic credentials / accomplishment , 2) lack of brand name internship experience. If they are top tier shops then you need to let the resume reviewers know , 3) unclear what’s interesting with your personal interests. I there any competition related awards that you can point to or unusual achievement? It seems like your family is well off and probably well connected. Best bet is to use your connection

Thank you for your valuable advice.

Just to clarify, I’m not applying for a position in the U.S., but rather with a U.S.-based company’s overseas branch in Taiwan.

Regarding your first and second points, I’ve updated my resume to highlight more academic accomplishments and relevant coursework aligned with equity research. If there is somthing still missing plz let me know. Also, the firms I listed are indeed among Taiwan’s top five financial holdings, so they should be easily recognizable to most recruiters.

As for your third point, I’d appreciate a bit more clarification. Are you suggesting that I tailor my listed interests to be more relevant to equity research? To be honest, I’m still unsure about the purpose of including personal interests on a resume — how does that contribute to my candidacy for this role?
