SIE on Resume for IB Recruiting

I’m an incoming freshman this year trying to get a head start on resumé building for recruitment for an internship next summer. I planned on taking the SIE this summer and eventually the Series 79 maybe in my sophomore or junior years of college. I spoke to two professors from two different schools both of which were unfamiliar with the SIE and were unsure of if it would help. For any recruiters, is the SIE helpful to have on a resume for freshman/sophomore summer internships or do you just look over it or not really factor it?

First of all, you can't take the Series 79 you need to be sponsored by a firm.

Second, to be frankly honest while resume screening if I saw that you had SIE on your resume I'd probably think you're some weird finance hardo and it would have a more negative than positive impact

Once again can't speak for other people but I personally would recommend you not waste your time on it.
