Wall Street prep on resume?
Current sophomore here majoring in finance and Econ at a non-target. I have been doing Wall Street prep’s courses since December and am have been cold emailing boutiques for summer roles.
How do I list what I’ve done in the courses on my resume? Will they ask me harder technical questions? It it worth it?
When I was recruiting, even though everyone in my class had all passed and been Wall Street prep certified, we avoided putting Wall Street prep on the resume. It is a very well known program on the street and if you put it on there, you better know your stuff. If I’m interviewing and see that, it’s a signal this kid is ready for more intensive technicals.
Thanks for sharing!
I’m willing to risk having the opportunity to show I can be challenged and stand out as someone more competent and eager for the job. It’s on my resume.
Is it on your skills section? Or do you have another section titled “modeling” and have the name of the modeling you’ve done? Would you recommend putting it on “relevant experience” or is that a big no?
