what is is about my application that they don't like? Uploaded resume+cover

I'm applying to FT IBD positions. So far I have zero first round interviews. What is it about this application that leads directly to the trash can? Any insight would be appreciated.

I would say it is your work experience that is letting you down. Not FO and even though your academics are satisfactory, people with similar or slightly lower academics but have FO work exp will be placed above you.

There are almost zero FT positions in London this year. Intern conversion was massive - I know of only a couple of places that are still recruiting and even then they are only picking up interns rejected from other places or who are looking to move.

Just need to network harder--I don't care where you go to school, someone with a 3.97 should get interviews places. Just start sending emails, work the phones, etc.--you'll get something if you're not obnoxious on the phone.

for analyst positions?

If so, I don't understand how you aren't landing interviews unless jjpp18 is right. I guess it's probably too late to get in the recruiting game in the US.

If you like school and have some money to pay for it, I'd consider doing another year or two somewhere. There are some MDs who have a few degrees from different places and I think it gave some serious connections that they still use to pull in business. Make sure you utilize the LSE network, and even use your alma mater's to reach out and explain to people what you're doing.

Also, if all else fails, try to get a winter internship at a reputable place. Your job experience is lacking compared to some people's, but the rest of your resume makes up for it. You could always enroll in another masters at LSE for the coming year and apply for internships like everyone else (you're young).

Congrats on graduating in 3 years. Best decision I ever made.

It has to be your work experience. For example, your junior year internship is = my freshman year internship. Then what did you do last summer? The resume stack is ABSOLUTELY FILLED with kids that wanted to go to law school but changed their minds later in the game... Sound familiar?

These kids are being weeded out first, so you're going to have to prove to everyone that you really want it. Start networking.

Recruiting in London is tough this year as someone has already mentioned.

I would say your cover letter is too long. I'd mention somewhere that you plan on getting a Tier-1 post-study Visa so you can stay in the UK once you complete your studies. Also, while LSE is a great school, the program you are in is one of the largest and everyone is targeting the exact same jobs and it is quite difficult to distiguish yourself.
