Wrong resume dates, is it salvageable?

Hi all,

Just had an interview with a regional fund few days ago. For a bit of context, I left my last job on July 31st (after getting a promotion, the place was insufferable) to focus on the CFA and my relocation plans.

I submitted my application somewhere during mid August but only before the interview did I realize I was using an older version with end date for my last job being "present". During the interview, I corrected and mentioned that I left on July 31st, and sent them an updated resume via the thank you email later on.

Question: I know this seems like a red flag, but did I salvage any of it by trying to correct the information? Or will the HR see me as dishonest and give me an instant ding?

No one is gonna care dude. It’s a minor comment to say you left the old job in recent weeks. If anything having a current job listed makes you more desirable. It’s prob no issue that you left your other job but if it sounds weird then it might come off as you got fired and you’re being cagey. Again prob an easy story to tell so just make sure it sounds legit and you’ll be fine.
