120K in loans for Columbia Undergrad?

I was recently admitted as a junior-year transfer to Columbia next fall coming from a non-target. Going over the numbers, I'll likely have around 100-120k in loans when I graduate. I'm just wondering if it's even worth it since I've already accepted a summer 2023 internship offer at a place I was really gunning for. However, I do have around 50k in cash saved from my current HF internship that got extended for the year (I have been working there since June and took this school year off). Also, I spoke with the coach at Columbia for the sport I play and they're 100% cool with me joining the team fwiw.

So, all things considered, I'm just debating if the Columbia degree + ivy football is worth the debt even when I already have the internship I was shooting for.

Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks!

Your undergrad name will follow you forever, and if you ever want to do something else having a solid name seems to help people. There are also a lot of great people here and the city is awesome - probably biased though.

Under any other circumstance, for example not having a HF internship or transferring for 4 years, I would say no to 60k/year. But 120k is chump change to have that undergrad alumni network, especially when your near future is pretty much locked. Interesting how you're still looking to transfer after getting your target company though.

Current student at UMich/Berkeley do you think it's still worth? Paying instate tuition but have transfer offer to Columbia + Brown. Would have to pay sticker price of tuition and go into debt. Incoming SA at BB
