25 in engineering and hate it

Im 25 in engineering (studied mechanical but went into software) and I’m not too fond of it. I make good money (110k) but I honestly can’t see myself doing this career the rest of my life. I really crave more people interaction and higher level work. Software is very mentally taxing and when you’re not 100% interested it feels like that doubles.  
 

I’ve been out of school for 2 years now and want to work on walstreet which has always been a pipe dream of mine.  I’ve been interested in trading since a young age and have no idea why I didn’t pursue it. It is mostly because I thought engineering would be impressive in comparison to my doctor older sister. Am I too old to achieve this? Would the best path to be applying to a top MBA program now and study for GMAT? Feel free to shit on me in the comments, I’m here for it.

MBA > Trading is not a pipeline. You'd be more likely to make it as an engineer moving into trading. Consulting and IB are the two big outcomes. 
Average MBA age is like 29 depending on the school. 

 

Is it normal for someone at 28 (realistically when I’d complete MBA) to get into IB? I don’t really care if I’m not at a top of the line firm or anything. I’d just love to be on the street.
