Academic inbreeding in the business world?

So before I switched my sights onto the business world (I did sociology for my undergrad in Florida), I knew a lot of companies don't like to see students with degrees from the same school. I'm starting my masters in accounting at UNC in May. After I get a few years of work experience, if I really like living in NC, I'd probably think about applying to UNC for my MBA. Is this a faux pas? I don't necessarily have a desire to go to NYC at any point of my career. Chapel Hill seems like an awesome place to go to school, and UNC seems to be king in NC.

Basically if I end up getting an MBA from UNC after getting my MAC there, will I have to field a bunch of questions about it in interviews? There's always d00k, but that combo just seems like a sin.

Hey, you never know — having a unique combo could get you interviews.

Duke is top-dog in NC, but i would imagine that it wouldn't be a problem for employers that you got your MAcc and MBA both from UNC

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

Sorry, but UNC is not the King of NC. That honor belongs to Duke, and will remain so indefinitely.

An MBA from UNC isn't the best option if you're looking to pivot into something exciting.
