Advice on Selecting Major

Hello everyone and happy new year! I am currently attending McGill University studying a Bcomm in statistics with a concentration in finance as a freshman student. I am aiming for IB summer analyst roles for later years and eventually a career in IB. However, I also want to have an educational background that would open the doors for other positions in investment banks such as a technology analyst/ software engineer/data scientist/ quant roles...

So, I am thinking of switching to a BA in statistics and software engineering along with a concentration in economics. Do you think doing this switch would limit my opportunities for Investment banking recruitment as my degree would be a BA rather than Bcomm? In addition, would a degree that is partially concentrated on finance/economics lower my chance of breaking into the field? I would greatly appreciate your advice.
