BC CSOM vs. IU Kelley
Hi everyone, I am a high school senior who was recently accepted into BC CSOM. I have already been accepted as a direct admit into IU-Kelley and the Hutton Honors College. My plan is to enter venture capital/private equity or IB after college. I am out-of-state for Indiana so I would be paying 40k a year though I am receiving the Dean's Scholarship of 11k a year. BC is 70k a year. I am not receiving any financial need but if anyone could let me know if you think the opportunities are worth the extra cost I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Do either of those have historic VC or PE placements out of UG? Getting into either of those roles is going to be incredibly difficult unless you do banking first. If you did an analyst stint in IB I'd say it's a wash, however I don't think either school is great for VC/PE unless you're interested in Biotech specifically (Boston has a ton of it).
If you aren't interested in Biotech VC/PE most VC opportunities are going to be in CA or NY and in the western part of the United States. NY is achievable out of both of these programs but neither is going to place a ton of kids on the west coast.
If you can afford it then BC is a no brainer
I am literally facing the same issue. I am an international student attending college this year. Got accepted from IU with a 6k per year scholarship and BC CSOM without any sort of aid. IU would cost me 50k and Boston College 80k. Considering the cost difference, I'll most likely be attending IU as a pre-business major. Will just have to work my ass off to get into the IBW workshop. The luxury of not having to worry about getting into a workshop would have been good, but I don't think it is worth 30k more.
