BC or USC?

Hi. I've been recently admitted to these two schools. At BC I would major in Economics and at University of Southern California I would major in Business Administration. I won't be in a business school at BC, but I will be able to take 6 finance courses from that highly regarded business school on top of the required curriculum. I am having a hard time deciding, which school will actually offer me more opportunities in the future. I am a US citizen that grew up in Europe and I might want to go back there some time after graduation. If I were to stay in the U.S. then I would most probably start looking for a finance-realted job in New York/Boston area (New England). Should location of the university be a big factor in my decision then? Is Econ degree from BC comparable to business degree from USC in the eyes of employers?

This is a tough one. But on the east coast, and in general, BC is more of a target school. If you went to USC you probably would remain in California, which is fine. Either school seems like a good choice.

If you went back to Europe I would think USC would carry some weight because of their Football team having a large name so someone might have heard of it. If you want to work in New York probably BC. If you want to work in Southern California, hard to beat SC.

Football in europe is played with your feet and a round ball, no one knows or care about american college football so that won't help. TBH, I don't think either school is well-known outside the US.

As for the OP, I think networking is becoming more and more important so geographic location matters. If you heart is set on the East Coast, I would go to BC.
