Best Graduate CERTIFICATE for RE

In the market for a graduate certificate...can anyone tell me from this comprehensive list, which one of these certificates would likely lend itself best into getting into the RE industry? I actually want to work brokerage but would prefer the network/curriculum of one of these programs while I try to get into the industry

well, only the last one is actually related to real estate, so that seems most obvious. There are others I've heard of, I get internet ads for CRE certificates from Cornell and NYU all the time, and I think MIT has some too, and others I'm sure.

If you want to enter real estate, then I'd suggest a certificate focused on real estate.

Personally, I don't know how much mileage any of these certificates will really give a person. I mean, I know they are way cheaper than grad school but they are no substitute for a grad degree. I'd ask to talk with some people who have them before signing up.

I would check out the certificate offerings on the ULI website. Also not sure what it’s like in your market but some universities offer certificates that count as credit towards an appraisal license. Ex. UBC in Canada offers a certificate that I’ve seen dozens of people with (many of which are not appraisers) and they essentially have a monopoly on it here nationally. Might be something similar in the states?

Don’t mean to be blunt but I don’t see any of the certificates giving you an edge aside from potentially the last one and that’s highly dependent on who’s offering it. The rest of the certificates will leave you in the same position as any general business grad trying to answer “So why real estate?”

Thanks mate - it's just at this point I can't really afford to keep networking even though hat's the way to do it with brokerage. I'd rather just have some kind of institution to back my efforts instead of cold calling what with the COVID crisis and what not.

Even just having a school to do it through and professors/alumni networks is a huge change for my current situation.

And yeah the Urban program seems better I guess, I was just looking at Cap Markets or like Business Analytics if those have some relevance to the industry

Kind of a shitpost I guess but wanted to check before applying and hopefully paying for it :/
