Best pre experience Finance Masters?

Hey so like it says above, which are the best pre experience masters in the US? I know they aren't very common however I have heard some are good.

Prospective international masters student here looking to break into IB. I know there are many great pre experience finance masters in Europe however I want to move to the US to be with my gf (will need visa eventually etc).

Here are the ones I was looking at:

  • USC Marshall MSc Finance
  • Texas McCombs
  • Ohio Fisher
  • Notre Dame MS Finance (new program so I'm curious to see how it places)
  • would also be open to others too

I am at a top European University and will take the GMAT and maybe CFA lvl 1 over the next 2 years.

Other option is I take a Financial Services Audit role or try move into Deals and Advisory at Big4 (I have an offer), get my ACA and then do an MBA in the US after the contract is up (4 years ish).

Or would it be better to do the MSF in Europe (at one of the London or French B schools), get into IB in London and then try and get an internal transfer?

Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

I would have MIT and Princeton's program in a class of their own (definitely add them to your list).

In Europe, the top Masters would be in no order: Oxford MFE, LBS MFA, LSE MFin and Finance and PE, Cambridge Mphil (although very research oriented), HEC MFin. Those should place the best for London, and to me at least look like significantly better programs than those you have listed already, although granted it is virtually impossible to recruit for the US from there (so if you are deadset on it target the ones you have in your list).

Not sure how easy it is to recruit as an international and what the visa situation is, I have heard it is pretty though out there. Best of luck!

Princeton is primarily a quant masters not a vanilla finance masters so should be ruled out completely. MIT can be either depending on your course choices so that's fine. Vanderbilt definitely deserves a spot at the table in terms of US programs.
