Bizzare uGrad GPA calculation
I’m 2-3 years out of college - working at a BB (FO). I recently reviewed my UGrad transcript as I’m soon going to be applying to grad school & I had a grade changed (upwards revision).
As I was doing the math I noticed the transcript accounted for ~18 transfer credits (high school AP credits, summer courses, etc) and factored them into my GPA using a 0.00 for each. It actually dilutes my Gpa considerably.
Is this normal? And would I be wrong to simply exclude any transfer course GPA’a from high school from my cumulative GPA on my resume for business schools?

that's incredibly unusual -- usually transfer credits from HS are not factored into your GPA.
Kid you not, my school breaks out each class - so I backed into the cumulative ~150 credit GPA that was showing...
I’m wondering if it’s correct / ethical to list cumulative GPA as X (which excludes the transfer credit(s) impacted) when I apply to B Schools
If they see a minor discrepancy between the transcript cumulative GPA (~150 credits) vs my actual college cumulative GPA (~135 credits) will they (A) reach out for an explanation, (B) not care or (C) throw my application out for lying?
For example, transcript shows 3.74; without the transfer credits from HS gpa would be 3.78. So if I show 3.78 but they see 3.74 from my college would that be a disqualification?
You're absolutely doing the calculation incorrectly. There is no way that 18 credits @ 0.00 only adjusts a GPA down 0.04 points. Think about it - that's the equivalent of an overloaded 6 course semester with straight Fs.
They are most likely not including the transfer credits in the calculation. You probably screwed up the weighting of some of the credit classes you took (e.g. you are weighting a 4.0 A in a 1 credit lab the same as a 3.00 B in a 3 credit class)

It does but it’s including ~16 or so transfer credits... summer courses from different university, AP credits, high school summer courses etc. and they’re all assigned 0.00’s. I did the math on a spreadsheet. It’s totally bizzare
I think you first need to figure out whether this is actually how the school does its GPA calculation for everyone because this school's calculation method really doesn't make sense. Perhaps you could ask a friend from your school or some Advisor from your school about it.
Yeah you’re right.... will reach out to a friend then contact the school. Good school for networking purposes but the bureaucracy and administration is totally inept. To get anything accomplished was always a headache
