Breaking Into IB - MSF a route?

I went to community college for my first two years of college and then transferred to Southern Methodist University to study finance (great scholarship). My summers were mostly working in construction to pay for school. I tried to get into investment banking without any internships and did not break into IB. I graduated without any internships and ended up working in accounting at a small business.

Now I want to try to break into IB again by doing a Masters in Finance at Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business. I was accepted into the program.

Do you think it is worth it? Is it even possible to break into IB with my background?

SMU Cox has a 1-year MSF program, but I think that's too little time to recruit for any internships. They also have a 2-year MSF program. That might give me enough time to do a winter internship and a summer internship

Any advice? Am I looking at this wrong? If not IB, then what else could I pivot to? Anything else I should consider?
