Business School/Law School application

Hi everybody, hopefully some of you can answer a few questions I have in regards to the b-school and law school application process. I'm currently a second-semester junior at Cornell concentrating in Finance. Looking ahead, I'm very interested in pursuing an MBA or JD after graduation once I get a couple years of work experience under my belt. I have over a 3.9 GPA at Cornell, but what concerns me is the fact that I'm a junior college transfer (btw I started out at a solid 4-year playing a sport, and only transferred to the JC because I was cut and I wanted to keep playing; I then transferred to Cornell from the JC). So I was wondering how much of a detriment this would be to me during the application process to a MBA or JD program, even if my GPA at Cornell was extremely high. I know a lot would ride on recs and GMAT/LSAT scores, but even if I scored very well on these tests, how much would the fact that I went to a junior college effect me?

i dont know the answer to either of your questions, however for MBA admissions i would continue to stick to this board since there are many knowledgeable people as well as look at buisnessweek b school forums (http://forums.businessweek.com/bw-bschools/start/). as for JD questions, i would look at http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/index.php, its a big law forum (no pun intended) that could probably help you out a lot more than people on this forum.
