Career Pivot with Part Time MBA?

Had gotten into and wanted to do a FT MBA, but personal reasons prevented it. Leaning towards doing a Part Time Program at a top school (Booth, Kellogg, etc), but curious if anyone has heard of people being able to recruit for new roles in this route. I obviously understand it isn't the norm, and I'm not looking to get into something completely different from my past experience (Finance). But overall curious how roles in VC, Tech, or Banking view PT MBA programs.

It's not easy, but can be done, though it's not common. The ppl I know who pulled it off were moving finance verticals rather than complete career changes.

I've had friends who did EMBAs at W and CBS, and used their MBA to pivot to ER and boutique IB roles. Most of the ppl who transitioned worked in finance pre-MBA and were using the EMBA to move verticals. For example, one guy who landed an ER sell side job at MS worked in finance before (think he was CFO of a small company).

Best of luck!
