Chances at Gtown MSF?
3.3 cgpa in economics, non-target, passed CFA level 2, 710 gmat, no relevant experience/internships. Weak background, I know, but I have read that with the program being online, acceptance rates are quite high. Is it a reach for me?
Nearly same profile as you (3.4 GPA) minus the GMAT. They waived it for me due to CFA studies. Accepted to top programs.
Apply to a few places. Write an awesome essay and cover letter. Explain the GPA. CFA Level II is a big plus, but they'll want to know why you want to be there when you wont learn much new material, if anything at all. Maybe mention you want to use the time to learn about career paths, have off-cycle internships, and be a part of a great alumni base, etc.
