Chances for HBS / GSB (2+2)?

Hey all,

I'm a senior thinking about applying for the 2+2 program at HBS / GSB. However, I'm not sure if my chances for getting in would be better if I applied now for the 2+2 program versus waiting and applying after graduation for the normal program - would appreciate some advice / input!

Background: White / Asian Male Undergrad - Dartmouth / Cornell / Brown with ~3.5 GPA in Liberal Arts GMAT - Haven't taken yet, but looks like around ~720 from a practice test I just tried Work Experience - Interned at GS / MS IBD for sophomore / junior summers and working FT at Evercore / Moelis / Lazard

Also if I were to apply / get into the 2+2 program, would it be possible to delay admission if I wanted to do 2 years of PE before enrolling? Thanks in advance for any insight

Well, as above, the main thing is that 2+2/GSB is recruiting for non-traditional candidates who would normally not apply to an MBA, so lots of humanities people, STEM folks, Non-profit people... Basically looking at your profile, they will probably tell themselves "Well, let's see what happens when he applies to the regular MBA program".

If you are absolutely determined, you can always give it a shot, but basically I don't see how it fits into their needs/desires yet.

You won't get in yet based on those stats...you are like lots of other very traditional candidates but are less accomplished than they are at this point (haven't even started FT work yet). There is no reason HBS/GSB will need or want to lock you in when you're the kind of candidate who would be likely to apply down the line anyway...
