Colleges better than UVA for IB
I'm instate for UVA and most top colleges will cost me an extra -150k for a degree which thankfully isn't too bad for my family. Which ivys/other top colleges would be better for recruiting over UVA.

Harvard, probably.

Lol all the ivies are clearly better. Ivy League comparable schools are also obviously better (MIT, Stanford, Duke, Chicago, etc.).
Don’t understand why this isn’t obvious and op had to post about it. Uva gets more respect than any other state school but the Ivies, ivy equivalents, and probably Georgetown would be better bets if 150k is meaningless to your family
Stern and NYU in general would also be better given its location and strong alumni base.
lol uva is a nontarget
OP humble bragging about 150k not being too bad for his fam would make a perfect UVA frat bro.
Yet another thread on college rankings? Is this a goddamn joke? If not, I'd say Duke, Georgetown, Wharton etc. you know the drill. We don't know anything about you apart from the fact that you have money and are from Virginia lmao how specific
Kelley lol
Your past 4 comments (including 3 on the same post) have been anti-UVA. Ex-gf go there bud?
Facts don’t care about your feelings, bud.
SMU and University of Phoenix are up and coming SUPERTARGETS
“Sort of considered the Harvard of the west”
so many other schools are better than uva for IB bro... This is an easy google search or a quick look another thread.
UVA is a very strong target school for most competitive jobs save for maybe quant jobs - stay there and save the 150k
Some pretty bad advice here. Many of the schools mentioned (Cornell/Brown/Dartmouth) are not worth $150K over UVA.
Harvard Yale Princeton Stanford MIT Wharton
what if the difference was closer to ~30k that would have to be financed through loans on top off another 30k of loans? (in a similar situation).
To an extent it depends on how much the money matters to you/your family and what your career goals are, but at that cost it would be worth considering Penn, Dartmouth, UChicago, Duke
It really depends on how much 150k is to your family. If it's like you said and its "nothing" then I would say the list of schools worth the 150k investment would be: Ivies Uchicago Stanford Duke Gtown MIT Maybe Amherst/Williams
