Columbia MSBA?

Hi all,

I know this isn't an MBA program, but really looking for all the advice I can get.

Anyone know anything about the new Columbia MS in Business Analytics program (msba.engineering.columbia.edu), joint degree between CBS and Columbia Engineering? What could be potential career paths leading from this business analytics degree? The program seems to have different curriculum concentrations (Fintech analytics, marketing analytics, healthcare analytics, analytics algorithms). My biggest concern is getting a decent job post-completion of grad school, and am hesitant toward this program that is in its inception year, although the Columbia IEOR / CBS name could be a huge plus.

How would a program like this compare to mathematical finance / financial engineering programs at schools such as NYU Tandon, Uchicago MSFM, GA Tech? How about compared to MIT's MBAn (also business analytics) program?

Since it's a new program I can't reach out to current students or grads of the program.

Any thoughts are welcome, thank you in advance.
