CUNY CC -> CUNY BARUCH -> NYU STERN...?

I am currently enrolled in a Community College in NYC. My major is Business administration and my future major would be Finance. I would like to work at hedge fund, investment banking, consulting. I almost got 60 credits at CC.
Here are my questions. Do I need to graduate from Community college? or transfer to Baruch ASAP? The reason why I chose Baruch college as a Bridge is that I cannot transfer to NYU STERN directly.
I would stay at Baruch only one year then to transfer to NYU STERN. Is there any other college as a GOOD BRIDGE to NYU STERN?

I can't find anything on Stern's website indicating that you can't transfer from a CUNY CC (or CC in general), so I'm not sure what OP is talking about.
It might appear like your drive to transfer is motivated by rankings, rather than by fit, major, etc. At best, it makes you appear indecisive. At worst, it makes you look like you have difficulty making tough decisions, and are guided by what others think.
Transferring out of CC does count, considering most places have a 60 credit residency requirement to graduate and you can certainly transfer directly into top schools from CC.
you need a min of 24 credits to transfer and can transfer a max of 60 so if you plan to transfer twice then transfer ASAP. But basically, any classes you take at CUNY will be a waste. You might as well try to transfer to NYU from CC and also try columbia, I hear they let anyone in as a transfer.
I started at a community college in jersey then to a state school in jersey and then to a private school in NY i lost a shit load of credits and cost me a shit load more money i think it was worth it
I don't know how true that is...However I do know someone who transfer from CC to Columbia but he had a high GPA at his CC and was involved in tons of student clubs and he went to a top three H.S in NYC..

I really wished I did CC---------> to better college, instead of going to the college I went.
i dont understand the problem here with transferring twice. the OP would be making a dramatic upgrade w/ type of school with each transfer .. and like someone else said above.. it just shows motivation and transfer out of CC doesnt count as indecision
i think it does show indecision anyway you slice the time spent at baruch on route to nyu will be wasted or the last year of CC will be wasted.... not smart

Here is my situation
I am an international student and my GPA is only 3.11 (If I take more credits and get As, my GPA would be 3.7 around)
CCTOP of NYU is for those who want to transfer into Unpopular majors of NYU (STERN IS excluded) If I choose Columbia, I gotta take the ESL test and may take one or more semester for that.\ Plus, even they do not have business school for undergraduate students
I heard that If someone get accepted as the honors program at Baruch, he or she can transfer into NYU STERN. That is why I thought about baruch as a Bridge
I wonder how I can put ultimate things on my resume. High GPA at CC is nothing to them.
Does anyone has any idea?
I think that firms do not care about my previous schools;especially CC. If I only waste one year at Baruch and got accepted into NYU STERN as Junior. That would not be bad.
If anyone has the best option, please share with me.

This is kind of a far out idea, but if you can I would transfer to NYU even if it wasn't stern. Major in History or Classics something super easy. Then you can do 1 of 2 things... 1.) you can fill all your electives with finance and accounting classes but you still graduate from NYU and can network with all alum 2.) you can go in as a history or classics major and then after a year or a semester, sign up for a second major/concentration in econ or finance.

Whoever said it's easy to transfer into Stern and Columbia is high. Assuming you have a 4.0, you MIGHT get into NYU non-Stern.
