Econ at UNC or finance at UNCC?
I am a transfer student and have applied to UNC Chapel Hill for Business Administration with a focus in investment banking and UNCC for finance. I am an assured admit to UNC through a program at my school I am currently enrolled in. However that does not mean I’m an assured admit to Keenan Flagler, their business school, If I get into KF I will go there no questions asked. However, if I do not get into the business school do you think it would be better to go to a target school (UNC) for economics or a non target school close to a financial hub for finance (UNCC)?
I am trying to go into IB straight out of college and end up somewhere on buy side down the road. I’ve heard UNCC has great internship connections but I’ve also heard how hard it is to do IB coming from a non target school. Which option would set me up best for my future?
UNC Econ for sure
