Econ recruiting...

Does anyone know if students majoring in Econ have access to the same recruiting as business students?

The reason I ask this is because as you may or may not know, a lot of schools do not include the econ major into their b-school. However econ students are recruited by the Big 4 and BB's.

For example at UPenn, the econ degree is outside of the Wharton School of Business. So with a situation like this how are econ students recruited?

I went to NYU and graduated from CAS with an econ degree. I did just fine with recruiting. I made sure to work towards an exceptionally strong resume (lots of leadership and work experience). My GPA was by no means stellar, but I was able to get a ton of interviews and secure some offers.

At NYU were the recruiting sessions along side the Stern students or was CAS and Stern recruiting seperate?
