ER SA -> MsF -> IBD FT (?)
Hi all,
Current senior at a non-target (top LAC) and going to do a Master's in Finance program at a T25 B-School (USC, Emory, Vanderbilt) next year.
Last summer, I was an SA for a regional boutique in IBD, but I did not accept the return offer knowing I was likely going to pursue a master's degree. This summer, I will be a SA in Equity Research at a lower-bulge bank. Excited about the opportunity, but I would like to get back to banking if possible.
I am curious how I would fare for FT IBD analyst recruitment at a BB or EB after my master's degree. I know the SA class will fill most spots, so should I even bother trying to recruit over the summer?
Appreciate any advice.

I'd skip the MsF and just work in ER for a year, then jump to IBD.
Too late for that lol. Also, I'm an athlete and able to use final year of elig at MsF program while paying v little.
