GAP Year to get into LSE/Oxbridge/Ivey

So didn't manage to get into Oxbridge or LSE, but did get offers from UCL,Warwick and Kings College London. I received an (almost) immediate acceptance from Kings, and being a cocky idiot didn't apply to any US target school as I was sure i would get into LSE/Oxbridge... Should I take a gap year to work on my application (work experience) and actually apply to the US schools and reapply to Oxbridge/LSE? Or should I just go to UCL/Warwick and network like hell. Looking to work in IBD and then ultimately buy side. Thanks for the help guys.

You'd be an idiot if you chose a gap year for trying to get into Oxford/LSE. No point in crying over spilt milk.

UCL, Warwick, KCL have some presence in the City (in that order, decreasing). So go for the program, and see if you can transfer to LSE after freshman.

How are you expecting someone to answer your question without providing any background? Are you expecting people to guess the programs you applied to, your grades and test scores? Frankly though if you are rejected from LSE, Ivey is unlikely.

that's why most WSOers convert into losers after taking terrible advice from @TNA" and company. Others are busy enough doing due diligence for themselves

fair enough. Background is that I'm 17, I currently take the IB and have a predicted 44 with HLs in Math, Economics, Chemistry and English, predicted as 7,7,7,6 respectively. All courses I applied for were pure economics. Not sure if you know what these all means, but its basically A* A* A* A in Further Maths, Economics, Chemistry and English. Test scores (first attempt for all): SAT 770 Math, 690 English; Math II: 800, Chem: 790 (again didn't apply to US because i was cocky and didnt want to shell out 100s just to apply when i was confident I would get into at least LSE or Cambridge). ill even give you my extracurricular activities: Treasurer of Student Council, President of stock market club, team leader in Generation Euro competition and rowing.

So basically you want to waste a whole year to get another rejection from LSE/Oxbridge? https://ci.memecdn.com/8346343.jpg</a" alt="Genius" />

Don´t say this in a banking interview: Which superhero would you be and why? I want to be like Robin Hood, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor - me.
