GRE VS GMAT for Early Admittance?

Hi everyone. I am currently pursuing a masters at my university in order to intern at an upper MM Investment bank next summer. For the masters, I first took the GMAT without studying and got a pretty bad score (460) but got a decent GRE score (310) a month later by studying with magoosh. My question is, is it still preferable for me to study and retake the GMAT in order to apply for early admittance to top B-schools? The reason why I ended up taking the GRE instead of studying and retaking the GMAT is because my university said it would be easier. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Take whichever test you can perform better on which appears to be the GRE. Schools are truly test agnostic. However, be advised that some companies may want to see a GMAT score (because it is what they have been looking at for yeras and are familiar with) when recruiting. You could always retake the GMAT after you get into the master's program if that is the case.
