HBS 2+2 chance?
Hey guys, I am a senior applying to the HBS 2+2 program. I wonder if I stand a chance, thanks!
-GPA 3.6 from a semi-target
-GMAT 730
-Major in Finance & Comp. Sci
-Going to work for a tech consulting company after graduation
-President of a business club
-Asian international student
-2 finance internships and 1programming internship in a startup
Realistically? Slim to none. They aren't looking for business majors. And your GPA is not strong.
HBS now encourages all majors to apply for the 2+2 program, including students with business internships.
However, I agree that 3.6 from a semi-target is not especially strong.
From the HBS website:
We encourage students from science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines to apply.
I'll concede that 19% of the 2016 class comes from a background in Economics/Business. But its 64% STEM.
you're 22. what are you worried about further schooling? go out and live your life, son.
Meh job, meh GPA, meh extracurriculars, and you're Asian.
