Congrats - I think we had the same outcomes with HBS and Wharton. Not how I would've expected it to shake out, but I'm not complaining.
Nice, congrats to you as well! Ha yea Wharton immediate ding wasn't unexpected for me....hbs can do a little more building of a well rounded class maybe
I think you will demonstrate your alpha male traits by oozing success and having MAD SWAGGER.
Thanks for the advice, appreciate it. I was actually thinking to start off with a Harvard Business School throw pillow cover, which is made from an upcycled hoodie sweathshirt. It's only $49 on Amazon.
would you guys mind posting stats/backgrounds? congrats to all the admits!
My background is really specific and I don't want to risk outing myself but I will say that I had a heartfelt story of struggle and redemption. Stats are first class.
Pretty standard stats:
MBB consulting for 3 years, then 2 years of MM PE at matriculation
GMAT was mid 700s. Economics degree from a well-regarded small college.
Think my x-factor was a mix of humble roots and unique career goals given my experience
Nice job on HBS petergibbons and goinggolfing! What do you think was your x-factor in getting you in?
I worked really hard to brand myself throughout the process. I think my experience, recos, extra curriculars, and goals all fit together and were interesting & different. I'm definitely losing in the prestige/stats battle vs most applicants.
What type of recs did you all use? What are better recommendations supervisors or previous professors? Albeit, I'm talking accomplished professors, phd/MBAs both served 20 yrs in the military and made it to the rank of Major. how about even a department head?

Made it into hbs. Didn't try for gsb but saw a ton of cross admits on gmatclub
Congrats man

I thought you were aiming below HSW? did you get into both hbs and wharton?
Nice, congrats to you as well! Ha yea Wharton immediate ding wasn't unexpected for me....hbs can do a little more building of a well rounded class maybe
I imagine choosing between harvard and stanford would be really difficult.
Agreed that is a tough decision. On the one hand S has the sun, on the other hand H has the swag, and of course C has the finance.
In at HBS, waitlisted at GSB and CBS
wait, I didn't know you were going to b school, since when?
unless you're trolling...
With a 510 GMAT no less! Which NFL player are you?
That's just a placeholder on my WSO profile. I don't want to reveal my actual score for fear of being identified. I don't currently play for the NFL.

Congratulations, y'all!
Thanks guys. There's a long list of people I want to thank, Jesus is definitely up there (no pun intended)
If I recall correctly, I thought you were an admit last year?

congrats guys! WSO Strong!
They're the same poster. Brady/MBAVSMFIN posts 24/7 on WSO.
Congrats everybody, did you apply to HBS 2 years after undergrad?

In at HBS!
Rejected at GSB with interview. Rejected at Wharton without interview.
