How old is too old for CF?

I'm 33 years old, working in middle office as a VP and I absolutely suck at it. When I was 25 years old, the admission lady thought an MBA would suit me better than the Finance program I was applying to, and to convince me they gave me a full ride so I went with the MBA. It was at a reputable school in Europe so kinda opened doors here, even though I'm probably not the most qualified candidate. Now 8 years later, I have some soft skills but no technical skills, and have rotated around a few different jobs which titles sound cool-ish but I did absolutely jackass  Suddenly lately when I studied for the FRM (in a desperate attempt to understand what the guys were talking about at work), I realised that I still quite like Finance and now would like to give it a serious shot.

The obvious would probably be lateraling in this bank, however I don't have good relationships with these people and don't like the culture here so will just stay until I figure something out.

Therefore I'm looking for advice - now ideally I want to be in CF... but am open to other tracks given that I'm not as agile both mentally and physically compared to a 20yo. So:

- What path would you think would be suitable for someone around 33-34 to kinda start in Finance, and how to get there? My workload at the moment is rather light so could fit whatever study in.

- I'm also thinking to combine the study with a second MBA to boost the chance to get into the door, is it advisable? Did a mock GMAT last week and got 740, plus despite my lack of technical skills my CV looks nice so I think can get into a T25.

- What role/ what kinds of firms should I target? I guess probably I'll be going from VP in Risk to analyst/associate, realistically?

- Salary/wlb sacrifice? I'm working around 40hrs/week at the moment, on a mildly comfortable salary to live on and save 2k/month.

Any advice is very appreciated.
