Imperial MSc Investments and Wealth Management
I have admission ready for this programme but I'm not sure how well it's holding up. I could get into Imperial's flagship MSc in Finance programme if I did the GMAT but idk if it's worth the hassle, especially that my mock score (700) isn't that grand.
What does everyone think? I have CFA L2 and about a year of experience in financial modelling & valuation. Would it be a good option to land something in IB/PE/ER in London?
I'm an EU student as well so that means I'll need sponsorship 2 years after my graduate visa expires. I've already done a MSc in a European uni as a double degree with my undergrad btw.
Any opinions?
The I&WM program is geared toward asset management roles, as the name implies. Why would you enroll there if you're aiming for IB? Top two courses for that are Finance and F&A.
Like I said I have a MSc in finance already so just avoiding repetitions and red flags
Your post is a bit chaotic imho we are here to help but can you say how many years of work experience do you have, if it was FT or internships, what level do you wanna recruit at afterwards etc. Also I understand you graduated with MFin degree, already??
agree, OP give a clear and structured background of your exp and situation and we can help
Sorry for the vagueness. Here's the breakdown
> undergrad > Big 4 transactions internship, mostly valuation and DD (4 months) > MSc > T2 consulting internship (3 months) > 8 months fixed term contract as a portfolio analyst for private debt/equity, mostly financial modelling, valuation and credit reports
I've been out of work since my contract was finished without extension.
