Is a Poli Sci Major w/ Bus. Econ Minor good enough?

At a top 15 overall undergrad school, is a poli sci major and business econ minor competitive enough to get an IB job or consulting? Not necessarily a bb, but a better than average firm.

Comment 1. be the best at it for IB Comment 2. make it suit yourself; if you don't like the subjects you're working on, you will become behind and lose comment #1

Will doing this specific major/minor combination put me at a disadvantage than finance majors?

I was interviewed by a VP in Goldman via Phone--her linkedin says she's from Top liberal arts college....Liberal arts major. It didn't matter much for her to get into the company--you must have the smarts and the dedication to make it---no majors required; However, there are times where your major can impact your strength, of course
