Is NYU worth it for finance?

I'm trying to decide on my college that would maximize my chances to get a job at a buy side firm. Is NYU worth all the student loans or would other schools do the trick? By "Other schools" I mean match schools like UT Austin, University of Michigan, etc.

Yeah LOL

Dude, NYU is like arguably #1 or #2 for finance (Penn Wharton might make the case, but NYU is literally in Wall Street), it's a no-brainer best option for finance LMAO

Uh... no. Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Stanford are the top schools for finance. Then, UChicago, Duke, Columbia, etc. We haven't even gotten to your alma mater NYU yet, and there's still a couple more Ivies and Ivy+ schools to name.

Edit: Prospects can downvote me all they want, won't change the fact that they're drying out in UVA/NYU level schools while any decent-GPA student at HYPSM is getting interviews from KKR/Blackstone/EB

LOL...dude, clearly you have no idea what you're talking about LMAO

The fact that you didn't even acknowledge UPenn in the top list of schools for finance before Yale and Princeton clearly shows you're just some fake "Analyst" trying to flex knowledge you don't have.

Anything with a brain knows NYU/UPenn take the cake for top finance school and feeder schools to finance/Wall Street. Get that bs outta here boy

I think he means placement per capita? NYU is a good school for finance, but everyone in stern shoots for IB/PE. Same with Wharton. So it gets super competitive since the day you step foot on campus.

But if you want to shoot for IB/PE apply to stern/Wharton. But know it’s gonna be pretty competitive from the jump.

Good luck
