Non-target. Recruiters / firms won’t take time out to travel there and actively recruit students at UoB like they would do for LSE / Warwick / Oxbridge etc.

Do not get me wrong, UoB is good enough should you apply and are competent with tests and interviews, then yes it is fine enough - it passes the HR barometer (Russell group) for spring weeks / summers too if you have previous experience (springs etc)

i’m an international student and the fees is too high for me plus i’m thinking about a transfer after my second year. It’s fine if they don’t actively recruit from here, just wanted to know would they even consider hiring someone from birmingham

exeter is your choice. what are your A levels? can you retake and reapply (to not pay 1 year of tuition for no reason)? for example even if you dont get in ucl/lse etc a place like durham will yield you better prospects than exeter/newcastle/birmingham

currently at durham, do u mean rent prices? cuz tuition is same as exeter. rent is deffo quite high but u can find deals, my friend lives in a nice 4 bd for 125 ppw

no.

here’s the general list of how uk ug schools perform

targets:
oxford cambridge lse ucl imperial warwick

low target/high semi:
durham (not trying to be bias), bath (placement program)

semi:
bristol (might be in above tier) edinburgh kcl notts

low semi:
exeter st andrew’s manchester

non targets but above other non targets:
other rg unis & prominent london (ie. york, leeds, loughborough, qmul, bayes etc)

complete non target:
everything else

sheffield is most definitely in the second to last tier at best. birmingham too. go to the best school possible. durham is a good option if u can get in. bristol too and is cheaper. you will regret not taking advantage of it. in the UK fees are literally the same everywhere and are cheap af just do it
