John Hopkins MS in Finance - Surprisingly Good Employment Stats

Stats for 2015-16

The employers are not bad at all and the placement rate (80%) appears decent, although ideally we would want >90%.

Thoughts on this program as of now? I know previously there hasn't been much info related to the program because it was relatively new

The entire program is made of Chinese students, over 95% are Chinese, most of whom can't get a job in US. They should be able to find jobs in China because Chinese employers have no idea about this program's reputation in US. If you take a look at the link you posted, you will see that most employers in the list are in China. The stats are not helpful if you want to find out whether this program can help you get a job in US. The hard truth is, there is a great chance you end up with no job in US if you went to this program, unless you're extraordinarily outstanding and you should have been admitted to much better programs in the first place.

you're looking at this the wrong way. yes the majority are chinese students. they are unlikely to obtain jobs in the US. however, if you are a domestic student/dont require work sponsorship then this creates a great opportunity for you.

BB IB is very unlikely from JHU unless you have a family connection. That said, there are plenty of MM, credit-type, or middle office opportunities. Also, JHU continually places grads at very well-known firms in business development/strategy/corp fin roles, so hit these people up and land a solid corp finance gig.

If you are a domestic student with the ability to network, you'll find a decent job. This program isn't at the same level of Vanderbilt or WUSTL, but the doom and gloom is hyperbolic.
