Joint VS Double major in Econ/Stat

Hi guys,

I'm currently an international student at UCSD majoring in Economics. I'm at a crossroads trying to decide between pursuing a joint major in Economics and Math or double major in Statistics. From chats and browsing various threads, I understand that adding Math or Statistics might improve my job prospects or graduate school applications. However, I've calculated that adding Statistics would extend my studies by nearly a year. I don't know whether that will make a difference while getting a job or applying for grad school

I'm still exploring career paths after graduation. Econ consulting seems interesting, and I'm also open to positions in mid or back office, especially if they offer H1B sponsorship. While I'm considering a direct route to a Ph.D. as a backup, academia isn't my primary interest. I'm prone to 9-5 jobs and avoiding IB and accounting.
Any tips or insights will be helpful.
Thank you guys.

lol I forgot to proofread it, will fix it later.
So I already have a side hustle right now in which the pay is decent and I like it.
If I'm into IB or accounting then I have to give up my side hustle
